How does the twin wire mesh configurator work?

Colours of the twin wire mesh

To start with, select a colour, black (RAL 9005) is often chosen. 8/6/8 or 6/5/6 wire thickness

The twin wire mesh fences from Fenceonline are available in two wire thicknesses: 6/5/6 and 8/6/8 mm. The twin wire mesh is made up of three wire, 2 horizontally and 1 vertically. The vertical wire is welded between the 2 horizontal wire. With the Ø 6/5/6 variant, the vertical wire is 5 mm thick and the horizontal wire are 6 mm. The Ø 8/6/8 twin wire mesh fences have wire with diameters of 8 and 6 millimeters. The most commonly used variant for gardens in residential houses is the Ø 6/5/6 variant. The more robust Ø 8/6/8 variant is widely used in company premises and along, for example, the railway.

Height of the twin wire mesh fence

The next choice you need to make in the tool is the height of your fence. We have all available heights in stock in our warehouse. The twin wire mesh fences are available from 60 cm to a height of 240 cm. From 60 cm, the height increases in steps of 20 cm. Under the "i", you can view an image showing the different heights to get a good impression and base your choice on. A height of 180 cm is often chosen in the backyard of residential houses. Do you want a twin wire mesh fence in the front yard? Then the most chosen heights are 60 and 80 cm.

Choose your fence post and fastening

The twin wire mesh fence package from Fenceonline is distinctive because all choices in the field of wire mesh fencing can be made in 1 tool. You can also choose your favourite fence post. You have the choice between a round and rectangular post. Below we describe all post versions that you can choose in the twin wire mesh fence configurator.

Round post with long lip bracket

The round post is standard equipped with the matching long lip bracket. This bracket is strong and is therefore often used in combination with the Ø 8/6/8 fence. Of course, you can also use the 6/5/6 fence with the long lip bracket. The round metal posts give a beautiful appearance to the fences and because of the surface treatment (galvanised and coated), the product is literally unbreakable and therefore extremely durable. With the round posts, you place the twin wire mesh fence panel between the posts.

Rectangular post with decorative bracket

The rectangular post with decorative bracket is a comparable fence system to the round post with long lip bracket. With this option, you get a rectangular post with a bracket that is mounted around the post. This has the advantage that the fence is mounted between the posts - convenient with a boundary with, for example, neighbours. This post with bracket can be mounted on our "smooth" 6 x 4 cm post and therefore this bracket is particularly suitable for accommodating height differences in your garden.

Rectangular post with cover plate

This post has pre-mounted mounting blocks on the fence post. The great advantage when mounting is that the attachment for the twin wire mesh fence panels is already attached to the posts. What you still need to do is mount the cover plate for the fence. You do this with the supplied Allen bolts.

Rectangular post with cover strip

The next option in the twin wire mesh configurator is the rectangular post with smooth cover strip. The strip is mounted on the post where the two fence panels meet. With the strip, you neatly finish this "gap". The strip is as long as the fence is high and is fastened with Allen bolts. The strip is of course exactly the same colour as the rod fencing and the posts.

Rectangular post with profile strip

A variant similar to the post described above is the post with profile cover strip - a variant cover strip on the smooth variant described above but with a beautiful profile in the strip. The post is otherwise identical, the choice is of course up to you.

Post caps of your choice

The combination of post and bracket partly determines which post caps can be chosen on the post. A round post is of course equipped with a round cap. The twin wire mesh configurator is designed so that you cannot make a mistake in this. You can choose from the following caps:

The plastic caps are - as almost obvious - black in colour. With the aluminum caps, you have more choice. We deliver these in the same colour as the fence and the corresponding steel post. So we have the aluminum caps in the colours black, green, anthracite, and uncoated galvanised. A post cap is not only functional - the rain does not enter the post, which extends the life of the post - it liteRALly also provides the finishing touch of your entire fence.

Dimensions of the fence

It is important to fill in the dimensions of the fence - you fill this in as "meter" units. First, choose the situation that applies to your garden. Do you have, for example, 1 corner and 2 sides? Or is your garden with the neighbours 1 straight line without a corner? Once you have made this choice, simply enter the number of meters. Do this accurately, however, in most cases, it does not come down to 1 cm. Why? Our separate twin wire mesh fences have a width of 2.5 meters. If you need 12 meters of fencing, you need to order 5 fence panels. And so 1 panel must be shortened - this way you have actually ordered an extra 0.5 meters.

So: by entering the number of meters, our tool automatically calculates how many fences and posts you need.

Add gate

Do you also want a gate in your fence, you can also order this immediately in the fence configurator. You can choose from all variants of gates that we offer. We deliver the gate in the same colour and height as the fence. We also provide the products to attach fencing to the gate if necessary.

Mounting in the ground?

A fence must be firmly mounted to prevent it from leaning - if you, for example, lean against it - or even falls over. If you mount your fence in the ground, you can reinforce it with quick-drying concrete. Our mortar has a drying time of about 10 minutes. If you mount the twin wire mesh fences on a wall, you probably need base plates for proper placement of the fences. We deliver the posts, incidentally, with "normal length", so for mounting in the ground. Do you need to mount on base plates; the post must be shortened itself.
