If you want to place a double wire fence as a garden fence, then you will need the 6 x 4cm post from Fenceonline. Our sturdy 6 x 4cm posts are supplied complete with mounting material (as shown in the pictures). This allows them to be combined with our double wire fence. The posts must be 60cm longer than the height of the double wire fence. The double wire fence panels are attached to the posts, which will make the entire fence very sturdy.

  • The hot-dip galvanised option is only intended to protect the steel against corrosion.
  • Optically, hot-dip galvanising has no function. There may be irregularities on the product.

Post 6 x 4 cm

Our fence posts 6 x 4cm are made of metal. These posts are 60cm longer than the fence. This extension ensures that the posts can be fixed well and deeply in the ground, making them very sturdy.

The fixing points attached to the fence post are at the correct height to install our double wire fence. The mesh of double wire panels is the rectangular holes between the vertical and horizontal wires of the panel.

The following additions can be added to the fence to make your garden fence even more beautiful and complete:

  • A single leaf garden gate
  • A double leaf garden gate
  • Fence screen strips to create more privacy in your garden

Placing the posts

The fence posts are 60 cm longer than the fence. This extension ensures that the posts can be fixed deep and firmly in the ground. The posts can be placed in the ground with the help of a pile driver. It is also possible to place the posts in the ground by first digging a hole with a soil drill or spade. When using a soil auger or spade, it is important that the posts are secured in the ground using Kongcrete, quick concrete or concrete mortar. These products ensure that the post is firmly anchored in the ground and will not sink into the ground over time. This will keep the fence stable.

If it is not possible to anchor the posts in the ground, then a footplate or L-footplate must be used. This is often the case when the fence is placed on concrete.
